Mapping  and numbing the brows is   considered the longest part of the procedure, and it should be!  Your brows are carefully measured to find  your natural shape and to help define your desired look. There are no short cuts used such as stencils to draw your brows. After your desired look is agreed upon ;your anesthetic for numbing is  carefully applied directly onto the brows for 20 minutes a plastic film is used to cover and protect   your  numbing product . This is a very important part of your procedure which helps show you a detailed outline for proper placement of your brows and to give you a more comfortable experience.

I am very happy to offer permanent and simi-permanent cosmetics . I am a  licensed Tattooist in the state of Missouri with a Certification in Microblading and Advance Permanent Cosmetic training. I am happy to share over thirteen  years of experience as a licensed Esthetician, and educator with hands on experience in the treatment room which has greatly influenced my techniques in working with permanent cosmetics and designing eyebrows .

Microblading is now one of the most sought after permanent cosmetic treatments on our list to help enhance our look with little to no down time . Microblading is natural hairline strokes of color that go into the skin with a tiny group of needles  with a pigment designed specifically for permanent cosmetics. The  color chosen is  based on your  natural skin tone, and hair . Once you and I have agreed on the best pigment color for your hair and skin tone the pigment is applied with a disposable hand held tool and needle and then gently wiped away to reveal beautiful tiny strokes that simulate natural hairs. The effect is so natural looking that its hard to detect which is a hair stroke and what is your real hair. These carefully placed strokes blends beautifully with your own brow hair to give a fuller or fluffier look to your brows , or to fill and correct the brows where there are missing hairs. Microblading is a two step process and a one time touch up is required at six  weeks which is included in the initial price. All other touch ups after are at an additional fee and are usually needed anywhere from 6 to  twelve  months depending on lifestyle , medications, and sun exposure.

Shaded Brows  and  Combination Brows work beautifully on those that have more  mature skin or for skin types that are more on the oily side. Shaded Brows is a soft filled in look that sits behind the brow hairs to give a soft  look to the brows, or can be used over microbladed brows to give a Combination look to areas such as the spine and the tail of the brow or the lower line of the brow . This look typically last longer and has less touch up maintenance. Your service includes one touch up session at six weeks and is recommended. All other future touch ups will require a color boost fee . Shaded brows typically require a color boost somewhere between two to three years after your initial touchup depending on lifestyle, medications, and sun exposure.

How does skin types, lifestyle, medications and the sun affect my brows?

The oil production in oily skin types can affect the hair strokes and make the tiny lines blur and heal lighter then non oily skin types. Thats why the shaded or combo brows are a better choice. For those who smoke they may notice that their brows may fade a little faster . Sun exposure could also cause fading and it is important to stay out of the sun for at least two weeks after your procedure,  using products such as Color Guard or sunscrean and wearing a hat and sunglasses will help protect and extend the life of your brow color. And always remember to be careful to keep acne products, retinols ,glycolic acid, salisylic acid and any kind of chemical exfoliants off of your brows.
